Ekiti approves law establishing Amotekun

A bill for the establishment of Ekiti State Security Network Agency and Amotekun Corps has been approved by the Ekiti State Executive Council. 

The state’s attorney general, Wale Fapohunda presented the Draft Law for the establishment of Ekiti State Security Network codenamed: “Amotekun” to Governor Kayode Fayemi in Ado Ekiti on Monday February 10. 

In a statement released on Thursday February 13 by Governor Fayemi’s Chief Press Secretary Yinka Oyebode, it was gathered that the bill be forwarded to the State House of Assembly for legislative processing and subsequent passage into law.
