Nigeria football fans took to Twitter to pour tributes to former Enyimba player and captain Chinedu Udoji who tragically passed away on the 18th of February 2018 but the Nigeria Professional Football League, Enyimba Football club and the Nigeria Football Federation didn’t pay any tribute to the late player who was an icon of the Nigerian local league during his playing days.

Udoji who was the Captain of Enyimba FC of Aba where he won two Nigeria Premier Football League titles, two Federations Cups and reached the semi-final of the 2011 African Champions League was involved in a ghastly accident few hours after playing in a 1-1 draw against his former club Enyimba on 18th February 2018.
NPFL Players, ex-teammates and fans took to Twitter to pour emotional tributes towards the late player but a quick check on the Twitter and Facebook pages of his ex-club Enyimba, the NPFL or NFF show that all three organizations conspicuously didn’t mention him or pay any tributes on their social media handles.
Udoji spent seven years playing for Enyimba where he won several titles including the NPFL before his move to Kano Pillars.
