Doctor who criticized Ooni of Ife’s herbal cure for COVID-19 is slammed as he asks why the FG won’t invest the money for Madagascar’s drugs on Nigerian herbalists

A medical doctor has been called out for contradicting himself after he asked why Nigeria cannot invest the money spent on Madagascar’s drugs on Nigerian herbalists so they can create our own indigenous cure.

Dr Olufunmilayo had criticized the Ooni of Ife when he suggested that certain herbs can treat the deadly Coronavirus.

Ooni had said he was willing to work with international bodies to use locally sourced herbs to create a cure for the virus. The Ooni also shared a video of certain herbs he said can treat the virus and explained how it works.

At the time, Dr Olufunmilayo slammed the monarch.

However, after Nigeria imported Madagascar’s herbal cure for COVID-19, Dr Olufunmilayo took to Twitter to say that “Madagascar is cashing out on the stupidity of all of us.” He asked why the FG can’t invest the money spent on Madagascar’s drugs on our own herbalists so that we can come up with herbal drugs of our own.

But, Twitter users slammed him and reminded him that when the Ooni tried to do just that, he was the first person to criticize him.
