Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria in Nasarawa State, Bishop Joseph Masin, who was kidnapped on Friday, has been released.

According to one of his sons, Pastor Sam Joseph, he was released at about 11:00pm on Saturday and was reunited with his family in Lafia, the state capital, at exactly 1:48 am on Sunday.

Joseph revealed that the bishop was freed around Lizhi Village under Nasarawa-Eggon Local Government Area of the state.

He said his father was at the moment so weak and tired due to the long distance trekking he was subjected to after his release by his abductors.
