Belarus unrest: Opposition leader says Belarusian people must not stop now

Svetlana Tikhanovskaya entered politics this year taking her husband’s place as a candidate in the presidential election after he became a political prisoner.

She was forced to leave the country after denouncing the election results on 9 August as rigged.

In an exclusive interview with the BBC, she says people must continue fighting and ‘stand ’til the end’.
