The San Francisco 49ers are placing cornerback Richard Sherman on injured reserve with a leg injury, sources confirmed to ESPN.
Sherman will have to miss a minimum of three weeks, per IR rules instituted for the 2020 NFL season because of the coronavirus pandemic. Sherman could return for the Week 5 matchup against the Miami Dolphins.
