AD to be reevaluated in 2-3 weeks, source says

Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis will be reevaluated in two to three weeks after suffering a calf strain during Sunday’s loss to the Denver Nuggets, a source told ESPN.

Davis underwent an MRI on Monday which revealed an aggravation near his Achilles, the source said.

The Lakers and Davis will be conservative on a timeline for his return to play. Even prior to the MRI, general manager Rob Pelinka, Davis and agent Rich Paul have discussed taking their time on Davis’ return to the lineup, sources told ESPN.

His return could come sometime after the All-Star Break, which runs March 5 to 10, a source said.
