OTTAWA — Statistics Canada says the economy added 259,000 jobs in February.
The agency also says the unemployment rate fell to 8.2 per cent, the lowest rate since March 2020.
Financial data firm Refinitiv says the average economist estimate is for a net gain in February of 75,000 jobs, and an unemployment rate of 9.2 per cent.
