UPDATED: How Fire Started At Ministry Of Finance In Abuja – Official Statement

The Federal Ministry of Finance Headquarters in Abuja has dismissed reports of a fire incident at its building, saying the incident only affected a corridor in the basement.

It said the incident involved an isolated battery pack.



The Ministry of Finance, Budget and National Planning on its official Twitter page on Wednesday said, “The Federal Ministry of Finance HQ is not on fire as reported on social media. Rather, there was an incident on the corridor in the basement involving an isolated battery Pack. It was quickly put out by the security personnel on duty.”
