A human resource personnel has recounted how the company she represents lost a talented staff because of Nigeria’s public image. Donne Adidi explained on X that a Fintech company she represents here in Nigeria employed a developer who was very good and well-liked. Sadly, the developer sent a message weeks later that he won’t be able to sign the contract to work for the company because Nigeria has been blacklisted by his country as a terrorist country. The developer explained that this would make it impossible for him to receive his pay from the Nigerian company.
