Armed men have abducted Professor George Chima, the Chairman of the Abia State Independent Electoral Commission (ABSIEC), from his residence in Okigwe, Imo State.
The incident occurred on Friday while Prof. Chima was hosting guests at his home.
According to reports, four gunmen stormed the residence and forcefully took Chima away, leaving his guests and family members in a state of shock and fear.
The motive behind the abduction remains unclear, and no group has claimed responsibility for the act.
Finding revealed that authorities are working to investigate the abduction and ensure the safe return of Prof. Chima.
