Adeyanju Condemns Akpoti’s Suspension, Calls For Legal Action

Human rights lawyer Deji Adeyanju has slammed the Senate’s suspension of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, calling it undemocratic and an attempt to silence dissent.

He criticized the lack of a fair investigation into her allegations against Senate President Godswill Akpabio and pointed out a conflict of interest in the Ethics Committee’s handling of the case.

Adeyanju urged Akpoti to challenge the suspension in court, emphasizing that Kogi Central voters are being denied representation. He called on the Senate to uphold due process and accountability.
