A single mother in Enugu, Oluchukwu Odo, has been arrested for allegedly killing her twin sister and niece on Wednesday morning, WorshipMedia gathered.
According to Instablog, Oluchukwu, who is from Umuidenyi, Aji, in Igbo Eze North Local Government Area, reportedly carried out the attack while her sister and niece were visiting their parents’ home.
Family sources also revealed that she struck them with a heavy object, killing them instantly.
She then turned on her mother, stabbing her severally in the chest with a kitchen knife. Despite her wounds, the mother managed to escape to a neighbor’s house, where she cried for help.
Residents, alarmed by the commotion, alerted the Aji Neighbourhood Watch, who tracked Oluchukwu down in a nearby village and apprehended her. Witnesses say she expressed remorse, claiming, “I don’t know what came over me.”
The suspect has been handed over to the police at the Ogrute Divisional Headquarters for further investigation. Family members remain in shock, struggling to understand what led to the tragic incident.
