Idolatry is not only a spiritual issue but also a societal menace that undermines progress and unity— Gov. Soludo

Anambra State Governor, Prof. Charles Soludo, CFR, today engaged in a strategic dialogue with delegates from the Christian Council of Nigeria (CCN), Anambra State Chapter, urging unity in addressing the common threats confronting the Church.

The visit, led by the State Chairman of the Christian Council of Nigeria, His Lordship Rt. Rev. Dr. Owen Nwokolo, Bishop of the Niger, took place at the Governor’s Lodge.

During the meeting, the Governor emphasized the need for collaboration among Christian communities in combating the resurgence of idolatry.

Governor Soludo reaffirmed Anambra’s identity as a predominantly Christian state and called for stronger collaboration between the Church and government to drive societal transformation.

He described idolatry as both a spiritual and societal threat, urging churches to lead a united campaign against it.

He also emphasized the importance of faith in shaping governance and community values, while requesting continued prayers for his administration.

Earlier, the State Chairman of CCN, Rt. Rev. Owen Nwokolo, commended the Governor’s visionary leadership and the strides made toward achieving a livable and prosperous homeland.

He highlighted notable projects such as the construction of the Solution Fun City, the new Government House, and the Governor’s Lodge as clear indicators of progress.
