Broncos QB Nix fractures ankle, out for playoffs

Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix will miss the remainder of the playoffs after fracturing his ankle in overtime of Saturday’s 33-30 win over the Buffalo Bills, coach Sean Payton said.

Nix was injured on the second-to-last play of the game, according to Payton.

Nix’s backup is Jarrett Stidham.

“[Stidham] is ready,” Payton said. “We’ll be ready for the next challenge.”

Stidham, in his third season with Denver and sixth overall in the NFL, appeared in one game this season and has not attempted a pass since 2023.

Nix was 26-of-46 for 279 yards and three touchdowns while also rushing for 29 yards on 12 carries in the win.
