Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, a Nigerian pastor and founder of Omega Power Ministries (OPM), has sparked backlash after advertising for a fully-abled wife to marry his adopted autistic son so as to meet his s£xual needs.
Pastor Chibuzor claimed the young man’s s£xual urge is causing concern at the home where there are other vulnerable children, so he needs a woman who will accept to be paid to marry the young disabled man.
He wrote: “Marry him and get benefits.
“Since the unknown parents dump him at my gate, he has been growing to become a man.
“Any lady that accepts to marry him . All marital rites would be paid. Free accommodation for live. Monthly salary for live. A house shall be built for the 2 couples of them.
“Free medical for both couples for live. Vacation overseas for both couples. She can be a single mother, a grand mother etc.
“But she must not be autistic.
“And many other huge financial benefits .
“Any interested girl or woman, go to opm headquarters ask of HEAD of opm welfare.”
His post sparked outrage, with social media users stating that women are not rehabilitation centres for men. Others also accused him of turning the young man to a commodity due to his disability.
The pastor then returned to Facebook to apologise but insisted that fully-able women marry disabled men all the time.
He wrote: APOLOGIES TO ALL LADIES.
“I never knew it hurt you like this.
“If you google the internet you will find many autistic men marrying normal ladies, it’s not a crime.
“But am sorry to our beautiful feel embarrassed by my proposal.
“I accommodate more than 500 children that were dumped at my gate all because I was moved with compassion.
“So Aboy case was because of compassion.
“When I observed this uncontrollable urge for s£x on him and him not understanding what is happening to his body, I weep for him.
“If it is something he can understand when you speak to him, it would be easier. But he does not understand anything neither can he speak.
“And the strange part anytime other children are taking his bath everything will stand and refuse to go down.
“And the huge equipment he is carrying is scary the boys bathing him. ITS TOO BIG.
My fear let not use it on other children, it may k!ll them because of the size.
“So I have 2 options.
“Option 1. Instruct one of my drivers to go and drop him off in any junction, but GOD may k!ll me if I abandon him.
“option 2. Get someone to help him k!ll the storm, but that would be f0rnication and it is sin.
“Option 3. Make it legal by paying pride prize of a grand mother or any advanced lady.
“That would be feeding, clothing him and taking care of his s£xual needs
“Send them overseas for vacation. Build house on there both names for them. Place her on salary for life.
“But she must not k!ll the boy. If she k!lls the boy, she loses everything.”
His explanation made matters worse and led to more outrage.
