Jarman Kano, Prof Isa Hashim is dead at the age of 86. The late elder statesman and community leader died on Sunday morning after a brief illness.
A family member, Ibrahim Aliyu told journalists that the retired professor’s health deteriorated following the deaths of some of his childhood friends in quick succession. Prayers for the remains of the late senior counsellor in Kano Emirate Council, took place at the Emir’s palace by 11am today, May 3.
Hashim was appointed as Jarman Kano by the late Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero following the death of the former Jarman Kano and Chairman of Kabo Air, late Alhaji Adamu Dankabo.
His death is coming less than 24 hours after the death of the Emir of Rano in Kano State, Tafida Abubakar.
