Former Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Tanimu Turaki pleads not guilty to fraud charges lindaikejisblog

Former Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs,Tanimu Turaki who was arraigned today May 4, on 16 counts of unlawful and criminal misappropriation of funds, has pleaded not guilty to the charges. 

The former minister was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission alongside his special assistant, Sampson Okpetu and his (Okpetu) companies, Samtee Essentials Limited and Pasco Investment Limited. 

Turaki who is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and the Minister for Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs from 2013 to 2015, also served as the Supervising Minister of Labour under former President Goodluck Jonathan.

Okpetu also pleaded not guilty to the fraud charges levelled against him by the Federal Government.
