BREAKING: Mosques, Churches In Lagos To Reopen From June 19

The Lagos State Government has said churches and mosques in the state can reopen from June 9.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu disclosed this on Thursday.

The government had through the Commissioner for Home Affairs, Anofiu Elegushi, on Tuesday said churches, mosques, and other worship centres in Lagos remained shut due to the continued high number of Coronavirus cases in the state.

Elegushi said the reopening of worship centres was not possible soon, as the state was the epicentre of the Coronavirus pandemic.

The Federal Government had on Monday, June 1, lifted the ban on mosques and churches in the country based on guidelines and protocols agreed with state governments.
