Gase: Darnold starting for Jets barring setback

New York Jets quarterback Sam Darnold is set to start Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills barring any setbacks with his injured shoulder, coach Adam Gase said Friday.

Darnold has missed the past two games with a sprained AC joint in his throwing shoulder.

Gase said Darnold would be limited in practice against Friday but that “everything looks normal.”

Darnold said Thursday that he feels capable of dealing with the pain.

ESPN’s Rich Cimini contributed to this report.
