Abducted air vice marshal Sikiru Smith regains freedom after 5 days in captivity

Sikiru Smith, a retired air vice marshal, who was kidnapped in Lagos state, has regained freedom.

He was abducted on Monday, September 27, in Ajah while carrying out inspection on a site, and whisked away in a waiting speedboat (read here).

On Saturday, October 2nd, it was revealed that he has been released.

The Lagos state police PRO, CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu, confirmed he was released in the early hours of today but did not provide further details.
