The Katsina State Commissioner for Science and Technology, Dr Rabe Nasir, has been assassinated.
According to Century Chronicle, the commissioner was assassinated in his residence located at Fatima Shema Housing Estate in the Katsina metropolis.
A family source said security personnel had taken over the residence.
“He was shot after prayer in his residence here in Fatima Shema Estate. The body of the slain commissioner is still inside the residence,” the source said.
Dr Nasir was educated at the University of Abuja, University of Kansas Lawrence, Bayero University Kano, and Government Secondary School Giwa, Kaduna State.
He worked with the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFFC).
He was also a member of the House of Representatives between 2007 to 2011 representing the Mani/Bindawa federal constituency.
