Lagos State House of Assembly Resumes Business Under New Speaker Meranda Following DSS Standoff

Shortly after the Department of State Security Service left the Lagos state house of Assembly as they were restricted from sealing the entrance, the business of the day has now commenced at the Lagos State House of Assembly (LAHA), presided over by the new Speaker, Rt. Hon. Mojisola Meranda, with honorable members present.

The session signals a return to legislative activities despite the earlier security tensions.

Amidst the tension at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mojisola Lasbat Meranda has now entered the chamber for plenary, putting to rest any speculation about her resignation as she continues her duties.

As events continue to develop, all eyes remain on the Lagos State Assembly to see whether this power tussle will escalate or be resolved amicably.
