Activist, Harrison Gwamnishu carries out solo protest at Delta state government house over insecurity (video)

Nigerian activist, Harrison Gwamnishu on Wednesday, June 4, carried out a solo protest at the Government House, Asaba, Delta state over insecurity in the state.

In a video shared online, Harrison could be seen demonstrating towards security officials at government house who barred him from accessing the residence of the state governor.

In a statement released, he said;

I have just concluded a solo protest at the Delta State Government House to draw urgent attention to the growing insecurity plaguing our communities.

The Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, appears to be neglecting the vital role of our local security networks—structures that remain unfunded and unsupported, even as kidnappings and violence escalate.

I came here to express deep concern and to urge the government to prioritize funding for local vigilante groups. This is not just a protest—it is a call to action for the safety and protection of all Deltans.

This advocacy is the reason I resigned from my position as Senior Special Assistant to the Governor. I chose to stand with the people.

PLEASE LEND YOUR VOICE.
