According to the UN World Happiness Report 2025, Nigeria has been ranked 7th in the world for helping strangers.
The ranking is based on global data from the Gallup World Poll (2022–2024), and it highlights Nigeria’s strong culture of community support and everyday kindness.
Despite economic challenges and limited institutional support, Nigerians continue to stand out globally when it comes to offering help to others—especially strangers in need.
While Nigeria ranks lower in areas like overall happiness (105th) and trust in institutions, this ranking reflects the true spirit of compassion and humanity Nigerians show daily.
