The daily hazard fees for COVID-19 frontline health workers in Abuja as approved by the FCT Minister has been announced.

It was revealed that doctors who care for Coronavirus patients will get a hazard fee of 50,000 per day. Nurses, lab scientists and pharmacists will get a hazard fee of 30,000 per day, and ward heads, cleaners and drivers who handle Coronavirus patients will get a hazard fee of 20,000 per day.

The announcement was made after doctors cried out that they are putting their lives on the line only to get 5,000 Naira hazard fees (read here).

Following the announcements, doctors replied, stating that the 50,000 Naira only applies for those in the frontline in the fight against Coronavirus and the rest of them get only 5k per month, not per day.
