Kidnapped Nasarawa CAN chairman regains freedom lindaikejisblog

Bishop Joseph Masin, the Chairman of the Nasarawa State Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria, (CAN ) has regained freedom after being kidnapped on May 27.

LIB reported earlier that the gunmen who stormed his residence at Bukan Sidi area of Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital had demanded a N20m ransom for his release.

One of the CAN Chairman’s sons, Pastor Sam Joseph who confirmed that his father has been released said he arrived home around 2am on Sunday May 31. He said;

“The Bishop was released around 11 pm on Saturday and arrived home around 2am this Sunday.”

It is however not clear if a ransom was paid to secure the CAN Chairman’s freedom.
