John Bolton: Judge rejects Trump bid to ban ex-adviser’s book

Breaking News image

A US judge has rejected a request by the Trump administration to stop the publication of a memoir by former National Security Adviser John Bolton.

The justice department argued that the book had not been properly vetted.

The judge said Mr Bolton’s conduct raised “grave national security concerns”, but that an injunction was not an “appropriate remedy”.

Among several allegations, Mr Bolton wrote that Mr Trump had “pleaded” for help from China to win re-election.
