The latest installment of Fortnite’s ongoing concert series, Party Royale, will feature Diplo and his latest album release with special guests.
Diplo Presents: Thomas Wesley will take place on the Main Stage within Fortnite on Thursday at 9 p.m. ET. Joining Diplo on the main stage will be Noah Cyrus and Young Thug.
Diplo’s album “Diplo Presents: Thomas Wesley, Chapter 1: Snake Oil” dropped on May 29.
Party Royale debuted on May 8 as a way to showcase musical acts within the game, featuring topflight recording artists and DJs. The premiere saw Steve Aoki, Dillon Francis and deadmau5 take the virtual stage.
Fortnite events in general have attracted significant audiences. The latest in-game event, The Device, which occurred on June 15 and preceded the Chapter 2: Season 3 launch, was capped at 12 million users and filled to capacity within a minute, forcing 8.4 million more to watch on livestreams via Twitch and YouTube. For Travis Scott’s Astronomical, a short concert in April featuring the popular artist, 27.7 million users logged in to participate 45.8 million times across five showings.
