UPDATE: Ink Master star Daniel Silva has entered a no contest plea for killing YouTuber Corey La Barrie in a car crash, the L.A. County District Attorney’s Office announced Wednesday, July 15.
TMZ reports Silva and prosecutors reached a plea deal that would drop the second-degree murder charge initially filed against him.
Instead, Silva plead no contest to one felony count of gross vehicular manslaughter. His sentencing is scheduled for next month. He faces up to four years in state prison.
His attorney tells E! News in a statement, “Daniel continues to struggle with the loss of his dear friend and our thoughts remain primarily with Corey’s family right now. Daniel will dedicate his life to honoring Corey in any way that he can and ensuring that his memory lives on. He is heartbroken, especially for Corey’s Mom and Dad and his brother and sister.”
