Sources: Heat’s Adebayo (shoulder) out Game 2

Still struggling with pain and a lack of mobility surrounding his left shoulder and neck, Miami Heat’s All-Star forward Bam Adebayo will miss Game 2 of the NBA Finals against the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday night, sources tell ESPN.

There remains hope that Adebayo, perhaps the Heat’s best player, could return for Game 3 on Sunday, sources said.

Heat guard Goran Dragic, who sources say suffered a plantar tear of the left foot in Game 1, is expected to make a final decision on playing in Game 2 later today, sources said.

Dragic has been able to put some pressure on the foot, sources said, but the injury is painful and hampers mobility.

The Heat have listed both Adebayo and Dragic as doubtful.

Adebayo had to leave the 116-98 Game 1 loss to the Lakers after limited production in 21 minutes — just eight points and four rebounds.
