A former President of Ghana, Jerry Rawlings, is dead.
He is suspected to have died of COVID-19 complications at a hospital in Accra, Ghana, on Thursday morning.
Rawlings was an ex-military head of state but later joined politics.
He was Ghana’s leader from 1981 to 2001.
