Ugo Ugochukwu, the first son of supermodel Oluchi Onweagba, has been signed by McLaren Racing, one of the top racing teams in the world.
Ugochukwu, who is just 13, and represents the United States, has been winning racing awards since he was as young as age 8.
He has won a slew of titles in the United States and Europe and most recently won the 2020 FIA OKJ European Championship.
This caught the attention of McLaren, the same racing team that signed a young Lewis Hamilton, who has gone on to dominate the world of Formula One.
Reacting to her son’s signing, Oluchi Onweagba wrote on Instagram: “Thank you GOD! Angels in the heavenlies Thank you! Watch over your Son. @ugougochukwu It’s beyond us.”
Ugochukwu also took to Instagram to announce the news, writing: “Thank you Mr Zak Brown and the entire Mclaren team for believing in me. Together, we will get there.”
Oluchi shares son Ugochukwu with Luca Orlandi, an Italian fashion designer. Together, they have two sons.
