Police Arrest Suspected Notorious Cult Leader In Lagos

Men of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested an alleged notorious leader of a secret cult, Segun Ezekiel.

He is said to be the leader of the Aiye confraternity in Bariga area of the state who allegedly shot dead another leader of the rival cult known as Eiye confraternity.



The state Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, who made this known said the suspect, Segun Ezekiel (24) on March 28 allegedly fired and killed Taye Gbalagbala (30), an alleged leader of the Eye Confraternity in Bariga.

The Command spokesman said the suspect was then arrested on March 31, 2021, by the operatives deployed to Bariga police. 

He stated that the suspect was alleged to be a notorious cult leader and killer who had been terrorising the entire Bariga area.

Adejobi further claimed that Ezekiel has confessed that he committed the crime and murdered the deceased in the company of three other members of Aiye Confraternity in his territory.

The Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu has commanded that the suspect be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for proper investigation and possible arrest of other escaping culprits.
