Sources: Adebayo to miss 4-6 weeks for surgery

Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo has suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right thumb and will undergo surgery this weekend, the team announced Wednesday.

Adebayo is expected to miss four to six weeks after the procedures, sources told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

The 24-year-old Adebayo, who is averaging 18.7 points and 10.2 rebounds this season, suffered the injury during Monday’s loss to Denver, in which he had 24 points and 13 rebounds.
