Four Corps Members Die In Road Accident In Yobe After Leaving Orientation Camp

A few days after concluding their three-week orientation course in Taraba State, four corps members from Yobe State have lost their lives in a road accident while others were left with injuries.

The deceased corps members include Mohammed Ali – TR/21C/2269; Job Gabriel – TR/21C/1655; Auwal Salisu Bashari – TR/21/2988 and Audu Sani Tata – TR/21C/2302.

Information obtained from the Yobe State office of the NYSC revealed that the accident occurred while they were returning to Yobe State from the NYSC orientation camp in Jalingo, Taraba State, where they underwent the 2021 Batch ‘C’ Stream II Orientation Course and were redeployed to Bauchi and Yobe states.

The Yobe State Government and management of the National Youth Service Corps have commiserated with the families of the deceased.

Governor Mai Mala Buni in a statement by his spokesperson, Mamman Mohammed, described their death as tragic and painful, consoling their families, friends and relations.

“It is painful losing these young men at their prime but as faithful, we have to accept it as the will of Almighty Allah which is destined to happen at this time,” he said.
