Canada Protests: Police clear demonstrators in Canada’s capital

Police in Ottawa have stepped up efforts to end a protest that has paralysed the city centre for the past three weeks. They made dozens of arrests and began towing away vehicles on Friday.

The police action comes after the federal government invoked the Emergencies Act to crack-down on demonstrations against Covid restrictions.
