Suspected Fulani Herdsmen Abduct Third Plateau Monarch In Three Months

Gunmen suspected to be Fulani bandits have abducted the District Head of Pushit in the Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State, Da Chief Dikyet Gupiya.
 
It was gathered that the monarch was abducted at his residence on Thursday morning.



The abductors have yet to contact his family.
 
Gupiya is the third Plateau monarch to be abducted in the last three months.
 
The paramount ruler of Pyem Chiefdom in Mangu LGA, Charles Mato Dakat was abducted in December 2021 followed by the District Head of Vom, Jos South LGA, HRH Da Gyang Balat, who was kidnapped in January 2022.
