NASS workers block NASS gate as they protest unpaid allowances and arrears (video)

Staff of the National Assembly and National Assembly Service Commission have blocked the main entrance into the National Assembly Complex as they protest non-payment of allowances and arrears. The workers under the umbrella of Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN) warned on Friday, June 3, they will commence an indefinite strike on Monday, June 6. They accused the management of the National Assembly of reneging on a Memorandum of Understanding to fully implement the revised condition of service and the training and re-Training of staff. They are also asking for the payment of arrears of Minimum wage, leave grant and other allowances. Protesting today, the workers blocked the gate with their bus and human shield. They vowed that the strike will be total and indefinite, according to The Nation. See the video below.       View this post on Instagram           A post shared by Lindaikejiblog (@lindaikejiblogofficial)The post NASS workers block NASS gate as they protest unpaid allowances and arrears (video) appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
