Eleven passengers of a commercial bus, including two babies, have lost their lives in an accident along Umuika Junction on the Enugu-Aba-Port Harcourt Expressway in Abia State The only survivor of the crash, which took place on Sunday, August 11, was reportedly the driver of the vehicle. 
The bus had collided with a stationary truck on the Apu Na Ekpu/Egbelu Mbutu section of the busy Enugu-Aba-Port Harcourt Expressway. The victims were said to have died on the spot before any assistance could arrive. The bodies of the deceased have been taken to the mortuary.
