Gospel Singer Arrested with Alleged Girlfriend’s Severed Head in Abuja

Oluwatimileyin Ajayi, a gospel singer, was arrested in Orozo, Abuja, a border community between the Federal Capital Territory and Nasarawa, after he was caught allegedly carrying the severed head of his alleged girlfriend, Salome Adaidu, in a nylon bag.

Ajayi was apprehended on Sunday, Jan. 12, 2025, near a church in Orozo, Abuja.

While being questioned by police in a video shared online, Ajayi is seen disclosing that he had dated the lady for one year before killing her.

In his defense, he revealed that he and his girlfriend engaged in a heated fight, and she tried to stab him with a knife. However, things turned unexpected as he ended up beheading her.

During interrogation, Ajayi allegedly confessed to the crime and revealed that the rest of the victim’s body was at his residence.

The incident was confirmed by Comrade Abwami Nuhuson Daniel, Secretary of Orozo Community, on his Facebook page, where he wrote:

“I got the shock of my life as we apprehend a ‘Yahoo’ ritual with human head (his girlfriend) inside a nylon in Agwan Sarki, Orozo, FCT. I thought I just used to watch things like this until I experienced one ‘live’ today. In my community. And this guy said the remaining body of the girl is still in his house. God have mercy on this generation.”
