
The Anambra State Police Command has announced the arrest of six suspected cultists as part of a statewide operation targeting criminal activities.
According to Galaxy TV, the Police spokesperson Tochukwu Ikenga in a statement said the suspects were arrested through a stop and search operations across the state in an effort to rid the state of criminal elements.
The operation was said to have paid off with the recovery of locally made cut-to-size guns, different clothes indicating they belong to the black Axe confraternity as well as a battle Axe and their operational motorcycle.
Preliminary investigation was said to have revealed that the suspects were on their way to their den to carry out an initiation before they were arrested.
All the suspects would be charged to court on the conclusion of investigation according to the police.
