A Nigerian law graduate, Didi Johnson has revealed that a man refused to sign a consent form to allow his pregnant wife undergo a C-section.
Didi, who disclosed this in a Facebook post on Monday, July 7, said she and the pregnant woman’s sister pleaded with the man but he vehemently refused.
According to her, the woman’s sister had to call their family elders who came to the hospital and signed the form.
“I spent half of my day today begging a husband to sign a consent form for his wife to be operated on for child delivery. Oga said NO. I saw Nollywood first hand today,” she wrote.
“For those saying “Why didn’t she sign?” She was already in the theatre. Couldn’t push. So they brought consent form, oga started trouble. The woman was already weak. We begged and begged. The last born arrived, she thought it was a joke until she saw his reaction. She called the elders in her family, they came and signed. I don’t know how to describe this man but I definitely know he’s not level headed,” she added.
