Star WR Chase suffers concussion in Bengals’ loss to Jaguars

CINCINNATI — Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase suffered a concussion during Cincinnati’s 22-17 loss to the Jaguars on Sunday.

Following a catch in the second quarter, Jaguars cornerback Jarrian Jones dragged Chase down by his face mask, which drew a penalty. On his way to the turf at Paycor Stadium, Chase also took another hit. He lay flat on his back for several seconds before eventually leaving the field and later going into the locker room.

Chase has not missed a game because of injury since 2023, when he was out for Week 15 against the Pittsburgh Steelers with a shoulder injury. He is a two-time All-Pro selection and has been a Pro Bowler in each of his five NFL seasons.

Before the injury Sunday, he had three catches for 27 yards.
