Today I had to take a quick pause from politics to talk about something beautiful, inspiring, and historic. Ayra Starr just made history by becoming the first African artist to headline an NFL International Games halftime show — and that is a massive win for Nigeria, Afrobeats, African music, African artists, promoters, and the entire culture. Her performance at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London during the NFL International Games was more than entertainment — it was a statement. It showed the world that African music is no longer waiting for permission. We are here, we are global, and we are taking our place on the biggest stages. This is also a huge moment for Don Jazzy, Mavin Records, and everyone who has worked hard to push Afrobeats to the world. From Lagos to London, from Africa to the NFL stage — this is proof that our sound, our talent, and our creativity cannot be ignored. Honestly, I had to step away from talking politics for a moment to react to this, because when a government is busy pulling people down, sometimes music, culture, creativity, and excellence become our hope. This is one of those moments that reminds us that Africa still has greatness to offer the world. In this reaction video, I share my thoughts on: – Ayra Starr’s history-making NFL halftime performance
– What this means for Afrobeats and African music
– Why this is a major cultural victory for Nigeria and Africa
– The role of Don Jazzy and Mavin Records in building global stars
– Why moments like this give us hope even in difficult times Big congratulations to Ayra Starr, Mavin Records, and every African creative making the continent proud. What do you think about Ayra Starr’s performance?

2. a more emotional / more political version in your voice.
