US President Donald Trump says allegations by the New York Times that he has paid as little as $750 in federal income taxes in 2016 and 2017 are “fake news”.
Mr Trump said the tax authorities in the US had treated him “very badly”.
He is the only US president since the late 1970s not to release his tax records.
