Terrorism: Nigerian Government Arraigns Four Persons Co-Accused With Nnamdi Kanu

The Nigerian government will, on Wednesday, arraign the four co-defendants of Nnamdi Kanu on terrorism charges at the Federal High Court in Abuja, before Justice Binta Nyako.

Operatives of the Department of State Services were already positioned in and around the court premises to ward off possible threats to peace by their followers, Daily Post reports.

The four defendants; Bright Chimezie, Chidiebere Onwudike, Benjamin Maduagwu and David Nwaurusi are already seated in the court room.

Meanwhile, both Justice Nyako and counsel to the Federal Government, Shuaib Magaji Labaran are yet to arrive the court.

Counsel to the defendants, led by Ifeanyi Ejiofor have arrived and are waiting for commencement of proceedings.

Kanu is facing charges bordering on treasonable felony instituted against him at the court in response to his agitation for the Republic of Biafra.

He was subsequently arraigned and brought before Binta Nyako, a judge of the Federal High Court in Abuja, who asked him to be remanded at the DSS custody.
