AfroBasket Qualifiers: Uganda Inflict another 72-62 defeat on Nigeria’s D’Tigers

Nigerias DTigers suffered another defeat at the AfroBasket 2025 qualifiers after falling to Uganda 72-62 in their second Group B game on Saturday, February 24. Nigeria had opened their campaign with a defeat after going down to Libya 89-82 on Friday.In the match against Uganda, DTigers only paraded nine players, just like in the game against Libya.Uganda won all four quarters in Saturday’s game.The East Africans took the first quarter 12-7 and also topped the second quarter 29-19.In the third quarter, Uganda also finished as the winner with 55 points to DTigers 44 before rounding off with the final score of 72-62.DTigers will close the first qualifying window on Sunday when they take on Cape Verde. The post AfroBasket Qualifiers: Uganda Inflict another 72-62 defeat on Nigeria’s DTigers appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
