A first Coronavirus death has been recorded in Bauchi state.
The announcement was made by the state’s Deputy Governor Sen. Baba Tela, who doubles as the Chairman of the Taskforce Response Committee on Lassa Fever and Coronavirus.
The deputy governor said the deceased died while on admission at Federal Medical Center, Azare.
Sen. Baba Tela said;
” One person died of Covid-19 infection at the Federal Medical Center Azare and that was yesterday in the night , the person was on admission”
As at May 9, Bauchi state has recorded 161 confirmed cases of Coronavirus. The total active cases are 154 as 6 patients have been discharged in the state.
