Fighters react to UFC 250 finishes of the night

The “Suga Show” appears to be must-see viewing.

Aljamain Sterling and Cody Garbrandt weren’t too shabby, either, at UFC 250 on Saturday night.

All three bantamweights earned impressive victories, with the 25-year-old O’Malley making the first statement in Las Vegas. Considered by many to be one of MMA’s top prospects and the No. 2 fighter in ESPN’s rankings of the top 25 fighters under 25 years old in 2019, O’Malley recorded a first-round, one-punch knockout of veteran Eddie Wineland.

The stiff right-hand shot from O’Malley certainly wowed longtime color analyst Joe Rogan, who on the ESPN+ pay-per-view said, “That may have been the greatest walkaway KO we’ve ever seen.”

That devastating blow got a challenger soon after, courtesy of Garbrandt.

The former UFC bantamweight champ ended a three-fight skid with a right hook at the end of Round 2 that knocked Raphael Assuncao out cold.

In between those KOs was Sterling’s victory over Cory Sandhagen in a fight that likely determined the division’s top title contender.

Sterling took Sandhagen down early and ended the fight with a rear-naked choke just 1 minute, 28 seconds into the first round.

Those performances had social media buzzing, with UFC fighters heaping praise on all three fighters.

Garbrandt’s KO even had “Iron” Mike Tyson impressed …

Sterling’s effort had some fighters making the case for him to fight for the bantamweight crown next …

O’Malley added to his growing highlight reel, and his peers took notice …
